Using Embroidery Clothes to Advertise Your Business
Using Embroidery Clothes to Advertise Your Business
Embroidery clothes can allow you to advertise your business. You can put the name of the business on embroidery clothes and give the clothes as gifts or donations for charity outings. Around the holidays, most business owners give gifts to their clients. And, as a business owner, you are most likely always looking to advertise your business. One way to kill two birds with one stone is to give embroidery apparel as gifts.
Whether you are giving your embroidery clothes to clients, employees or donating them to charity, the best way to make them remember your business is to design your own embroidery clothes. If you are paying someone to create promotional items for your business, stop paying a commission and do it yourself online. You will end up saving money and come up with quality merchandise.
Unlike heat transfers, embroidery clothes are made to last and will wash and dry very well. Embroidery stitches the design or lettering into the clothes, making it permanent. Once you have the embroidery on the article of clothing, it will not peel off. This is why so many people prefer to wear embroidery clothes instead of those with a iron on transfer.
And if the embroidery clothes will last longer, that means that your business is being advertised for a longer period of time. Unlike useless gifts like water bottles that get used once or twice and lost, or items that are just for the golf course, when you give embroidery clothing, not only will the recipient like the gift, they will wear it. This maximizes your advertising potential.
Personalized clothing does not get tossed away easily, especially if it is embroidery clothing. People tend to give clothing to charities when they are through wearing them. This maximizes your exposure even more. If you give away enough embroidery clothes, they will start circulating first in the area and then start moving to further areas as people begin to give away clothes. There is no greater advertising for a business than personalized embroidery clothes. Because they are classic and made to last, they will be used over and over again, creating a name for your business and building your business brand. And it does not have to cost you much money to do this.
You simply need to figure out what you want to put on the embroidery clothes and then go to an interactive website so that you can start designing. If you are paying a promotions company to do this for you then you are going to see a big change in price. Promotional companies deal in massive quantity and also pay the sales person a hefty commission for the sale. When you create your own personalized embroidery clothes online, you are going right to the source. This can be ideal for the business owner who wants to save money as well as the small business owner who wants personalization but does not want to place a very large order. Truly, any business can benefit from giving personalized embroidery clothes.

Custom Embroidery – Help Your Business Grow
Custom Embroidery – Help Your Business Grow
Before we begin if you have no idea what custom embroidery is, itâs the process of forming decorative designs on objects with needlework. For your business this can be your company name, logo, slogan or all three stitched on a hat, shirt or other product.
Â
Itâs easy to get your companies information on clothing from an online store. Usually you only need to select the type of product you want embroidered and upload your graphic or text wait 2-4 weeks and then start marketing.
Â
The best part is itâs not just a one shot and done advertisement such as TV or Radio commercial it is a multi-viewable advertisement that a potential customer has the opportunity to see over and over again. Even if theyâre not currently in the market for your product or company at the time they view it, youâve planted the seed.
Â
According to the Bender Graphics Blog; they created a custom shirt to help the Red Cross raise money for September 11 relief and from a post dated May 2 2008 âJust yesterday I saw one of those shirts being worn around town. That was six years agoâ.
Â
It also allows for another portion of the marketing spectrum; customer trust. Unlike the above mentioned TV or Radio commercial or even a billboard on the side of the road it adds a face to your business, every one of those embroidered products that is seen being worn by another person is a personal endorsement from the wearer that they like and respect your company. There is nothing better than a personal endorsement for selling your business or product.Â
Â
Think Nautica, Calvin Klein, Polo or Kenneth Cole every piece of apparel they manufacturer comes with an embroidered Logo or name on it. The person wearing that article of clothing is actually advertising your company to every person that sees them wearing it.Â
Â
It doesnât even need to be someone buying your apparel. If you create a company shirt you can have all your employees wear it to work. Theyâll then be seen at other places advertising your company such as the grocery store, hair stylist or dentist. You can even give them to your current clients whenever they make a purchase; you never know when theyâll wear it and who may ask about you and your company.
Â
Donât you want thousands of mini custom billboards advertising your business over and over again? What are you waiting for?
If you want Custom Embroidery or some Custom Hoodies for your companies marketing strategy talk to Bender Shirts.
Interesting Aprons Have Embroidery
Interesting Aprons Have Embroidery
One of the most pleasing ways to personalize an apron that you have either bought or made is to embroider it. There are many different ways that you can embroider an apron and many different designs you can choose from.
Probably one of the most important things to remember when choosing threads to use for embroidery is to consider what the apron is going to be used for. If the apron will require frequent washing, then choose threads that will not fade as quickly and remain colorfast, therefore will remain bright in color and minimize the chances of color running into the fabric of the apron.
Once the threads have been established, then you can look for an interesting and appropriate pattern to use for your embroidery project. There are many places to look for these and one of the easiest methods to use here is the iron-on pattern. You can also trace a pattern onto the fabric or draw with pencil the outline of what you would like to embellish. You could also perhaps consider some cross stitch which is done on another material and then apply this to the pattern once finished like an appliqué.
Even to put your name onto the pocket is a quaint way to personalize your apron. Another method could be to embroider the edges of the apron. You can use a brightly colored yarn to do a blanket stitch around the edge of hems, pockets, tie-backs or sleeve edges. This could be color coordinated with the fabric itself or with anything else that is embroidered onto the apron.
Embroidered aprons also make unusual and charming gifts. Whatever the skill level you have, you can either make or buy an apron and embroider it to suit a friend, mother, daughter or other lucky female in your life.
From a business standpoint the embroidered apron can enhance status in front of the customer by showing off the company name or logo. This is commonly done and only costs a little more to include the embroidery when making the initial apron purchase.
This method of advertising your business name on the apron can be beneficial in terms of tax minimalization. In most countries the placing of the business name on the work uniform will allow the company to claim reductions in tax from the rebates available, of course this does not cover all countries and states but you will find most do allow this legitimate form of tax reduction. Also the employee may be able to claim a rebate for their tax return from the laundering of work related uniforms, which in this case is the apron with an embroidered logo or name on it.
So as you can see there are many ways to use embroidery on an apron to enhance the visual appeal as well as improve the marketing aspects of the business. And don’t forget the tax implications also; why not take advantage of these enhancements whatever your motivation.
Embroidering an apron is a win win situation. Hope to see your name on an apron soon.
You are invited to review further information about embroidered aprons at our web site. There you will find other sources that delve much deeper into beautiful aprons.

Embroidery Vs Screen Printing on Your Company Uniforms?
Embroidery Vs Screen Printing on Your Company Uniforms?
Logos play a vital role in helping a company achieve its identity. However, the benefit that a company or business can get out of using logos extends far beyond this. Since logos are typically associated with a company it has been registered to, it does make a valuable advertising tool as well. Having a logo enables potential customers identify your company and your services. Therefore, many companies have opted to imprint their logos on uniforms to easily recognize people associated with the company.
Since printing or embroidering of logos on the uniforms of a company’s personnels, they evaluate how designs are produced. This is vital because having that logo will serve quite a few purpose: as a promotional item, company recognition and image.
Screen Print
This technique utilizes ink blocking stencils to reproduce your desired design into the chosen garment. Once the ink has been transferred, it is then reflected into the shirt as images that will form the company’s logo on the uniform. It goes through several procedures to ensure that the ink is well distributed into the garment.
Although this can be used mostly on garments, screen printing is also possible for other types of materials like clock, decals, watch faces, and some other products most people believe are not associated with screen printing.
Embroidery
Custom embroidered shirts or uniforms are common these days. Indeed, bearing the company logo on your personnel uniforms will not only reflect the kind of image you want people to think of your company but will also serve as effective promotional apparels. Since most companies also implement uniform dress codes to their employees, incorporating embroidered company logo or name into the uniform will make the uniform more appealing.
Embroidering logos into the uniform follows the same technique as you would when printing materials using ink. However, with embroidery you are using stitches to form the image of the logo.
Embroider logos on uniforms achieve quite a few benefits:
*Sets you apart from rival companies
*Establish image of the company, whether casual or corporate
*It is quite affordable as opposed to other means of having your logos in the uniform
Determine Your Budget
If you want to customize the company uniform by including the logo, you must first determine the budget. There are quite a few factors that determine the cost of customizing your uniforms by including the logo. Therefore, you need to recognize those factors and make the proper adjustments especially when you have a limited budget.
If you want to use the screen print method, it can be quite expensive when you use more colors on the logo. On a whole, embroidery is more expensive as compared to screen printing but you can also opt to simplify the logo to use less stitches. By then, you will also reduce the cost of having your uniforms embroidered.
But if you can take the slight difference in the cost provided that you get better quality, then embroidery is the best option for you. The quality of result with embroidered logos is far better than in screen printing, and yet costs may not vary greatly.
Materials To Be Used
The type of materials to be used is another consideration that you would have to make. Other materials produce better results with embroidery than screen printing, and vice versa.
For instance, when you are using polyester or cotton, this will produce better image results when you use screen printing methods. Meanwhile, embroidered logos have more longevity and work better with some other types of materials.
If you are using rough-surfaced garments or thick materials, then you need to embroider the logo. Another advantage with using embroidered logo over screen printing is that the latter is more likely to peel off after a certain period of time.
Screen Print or Embroider?
Since there are several variable factors that could come into play when choosing which method to use, you need to consider each one of them. After all, when you use the company’s logo in the uniform, you want it to be of the best quality possible. Consider your options below:
*Embroidered logos are able to withstand over long period of time as opposed to screen printing since the printed logo could eventually peel off, especially with repeated washing.
*Screen printing logos have limited possibilities. When used on company uniforms, they are good only for casual look. If you want a more professional and corporate image, embroidered logo is more suitable. When used on polo shirts, it exudes a classic and formal appeal.
*Overall, embroidering your company’s logo on the uniform produce better quality as compared to screen printing.

Hardanger Embroidery Information & Pictures
Hardanger Embroidery Information & Pictures
My home growing up was with filled with Hardanger embroidery. When I was older, I realized what a treasure these linens were and I now keep them carefully stored and display them for special occasions only. My grandmother was from Norway and despite emigrating to a new country and helping run a fishing camp, she still found time to carry on this lovely tradition.
You can see some examples of the linens by clicking this link (opens new window).
Hardangersøm (or Hardangersaum), is Norwegian for ‘embroidery from Hardanger’, and refers to the style of needlework that many of us know as Hardanger embroidery It takes its current name from a town on the southwestern coast of Norway, in a mountainous area at the head of the Hardanger fjord.
Hardanger is a form of cutwork embroidery which is believed to have originated in Asia and Persia. Hardanger has also been referred to as Norwegian lacemaking because of the way it looks. Portions of the background fabric are cut away and discarded, with the edges worked over in buttonhole stitches. It is worked on white even weave fabric, usually linen or cotton, using linen or pearl cotton threads.
The patterns were used as a favourite decoration worked in bands of embroidery across tablecloths, napkins, towels, bedspreads, pillows and curtains and clothing items such as aprons, shirts, and Norwegian folk costumes.
In simpler forms of hardanger, the holes themselves decorate the fabric but in more advanced techniques, the holes can be filled in with threads in various patterns to create a more elaborate design. You can see both examples in the pictures.
The traditional designs are geometric and based on several shapes: square, rectangle, triangle, diamond, diagonal, zig-zag and cross. These shapes are put together to form many different designs but never created pictures. Patterns varied greatly from one family to another and from village to village. Eventually specific designs came to be associated with specific places.
Hardanger uses many easy-to-learn stitches of two basic types. The first is counted thread embroidery with simple stitches which can be altered slightly or combined in many interesting ways to create limitless designs. Together with drawn-thread or cut-work embroidery, this leads to a stunning effect!
It often featured:
*diamond, triangular or square motifs of cutwork
* satin stitching in rectangular blocks (kloster blocks) and other shapes
* pulled thread work in the form of four-sided stitch
* cable stitch
* eyelets

Embroidery for Your Workforce – Company Morale
Embroidery for Your Workforce – Company Morale
Embroidery on clothing is a great way to show your style and separate yourself in a fashionable way. This is a great idea for a business owner, and it is effective whether you have a small, medium, or large workforce. It can pay dividends by having a focused look and a logo embroidered on a collared polo shirt or a button down Oxford shirt. Embroidery is an economical way to dress your workforce up and at the same time promote and brand your business.
You can find just about any color of Polo shirt to have embroidered. You need to have a logo or some artwork to have embroidered. You would be able to use a logo or just a slogan which if it were just letters then that process is called monogramming. Just about anything can be digitized. However, the more intricate the design then the more stitches it will take to sew that pattern. Stitch count is the factor that determines the cost of the job – the more the stitches then the higher the cost.
Today most embroidery is done by machine hence the term machine embroidery – this is a basic form of embroidery. The process in which a design is embroidered starts with a concept that is perfected and “digitized” utilizing software that tells the machine exactly where and what to stitch. The patterns can be simple or fairly intricate, but make no mistake embroidery is a classy way to express yourself whether it is personally or professionally. Learn more about embroidery.

Finding Your Niche With An Embroidery Digitizing Business
Finding Your Niche With An Embroidery Digitizing Business
You have everything in place to start an embroidery digitizing business. You’ve done all your research. You have a business plan in place and have contracted out for your own website.
With all of the competition out there, how do you make yourself stand out from the crowd?
When you are first starting out, you may decide that you want to focus on a certain type of image to digitize into an embroidery pattern. You may choose dragons, flowers or frogs. If you focus on similar pictures at first, you will get faster at doing these type of images. Not only will you get faster at digitizing these pictures into embroidery patterns, but you will get better at it.
If this is how you decide to start out with digitizing embroidery patterns, you will want to choose a niche that you are interested in. When you are digitizing a new design, you will need to embroider it to make sure that it turns out okay. If you don’t like dragons or faeries, and that is the type of image you are digitizing into embroidery patterns, not only will you have samples around that you aren’t interested in, but you won’t feel the urge to get the images as close to perfect as you would if you love flowers and you are digitizing flower images into embroidery patterns.
If you are going to offer to digitize images that people send you into embroidery patterns, you will eventually want experience at digitizing a variety of images, not just the type of images in your niche. When you work by request, you will be working with a wide variety of images to digitize into embroidery patterns, not simply one specific type.
Something that really needs to be mentioned any time that you talk about doing specialized work for customers. With people sending images to you to digitize into embroidery patterns, you may face another issue that you haven’t seen mentioned before. When you buy a digitized embroidery pattern file at the store, the company who digitized these patterns will have paid to use any trademarked images.
That’s is something very important that you will want to keep in mind. The NFL, collegiate teams or large corporations such as Disney will sue anyone using their trademarked images without permission. You will get a letter before they take you to court, but don’t count on being able to just slide by. The big companies have lawyers and are always looking for people who are breaking copyright laws.
There are plenty of legal ways to get around the copyright laws, however if you have any doubts about whether you are violating these laws, your best bet is to play it safe.

Celtic Cross Stitch Embroidery, Designs, Patterns And Instructions To Get Started
Celtic Cross Stitch Embroidery, Designs, Patterns And Instructions To Get Started
We all have interests in life, from music to painting – there’s an artist in all of us. Out of that a large chunk are to busy or inhibited to find time for such activities while a small group are able to fulfill their passion. An artist usually converts his hobbies into full time activity.
Hobbies range from painting to music, from writing to antiques and even embroidery. Embroidery is very much an art form, one that enables you to use a broad range of colors.
Embroidery is like doing a painting or learning the dance steps of your favorite music score. Embroidery takes you a step closer to a finer art form. With the use of a needle you create life by stitching. This is a primitive art form.
There is evidence to prove that embroidery was prevalent during Stone Age, they used strips of leather and bone needles. Today the range is vast from fabrics and threads to design patterns to select from.
Embroidery can be a leisurely hobby. Embroidery allows us to make animal prints, make sceneries and small but wonderful craft items. That’s not all we can make prints on hand towels that we use daily or create some cartoon like pictures on the tablemats we use. I can go on and on about the use of embroidery.
To get started with you’re desired Celtic pattern you would require certain supplies or celtic cross stitch samplers. First make a choice of that intriguing Celtic cross stitch sewing design, some material for cross stitch, needles, sewing specific threads and an sewing frame.
Fabrics like Aida, Jobelan, Even weave linen and others can be put to use for creating your own masterpiece. You can choose threads like Standard cotton threads, Silk threads, DMC flexible cotton threads, wool yarns, Metallic and also Perle/Perl fabric threads.
You are not limited to a single thread color, use as many as you like to give the pattern a colorful facade. Nickel-plated as well as gold plated needles could be used. Frequently a round edged needle between the size of 24 or 26 is needed to make customary cross stitch design.
This Celtic cross stitch sewing is revered all around the globe for the artistry of the knots and for the unique interlacing patterns. Today Celtic cross stitch embroidery is known all over the globe as the patterns are easily available but the Spanish, Italians, Germans and English are thought to be the place of its origin.
Women in United Kingdom are known to be highly doting of cross stitch sewing, their taste for these embroideries let them create patterns that are exclusive. People from Celts were enormously prominent for their hand made patterns. They were so engrossed in these patterns that they had one for each day.
To begin Celtic cross stitch sewing it is not mandatory that one should acquire in-depth facts about the art form. Not much propaganda is needed to spread or create interest in Celtic cross stitch sewing; simply show some of your creations to you friends and family members.
Most of them shall just queue around you to learn. Patterns are now available on the net and pattern books. This art form is an addiction, the instance to get introduced you will never stop practicing it. Bet you would like to try you’re hand at it!!

Embroidery Thread Choices
Embroidery Thread Choices
Selecting an embroidery thread can be complicated; there are many different fibers and weights to choose from. We will try and help you to make this decision a little easier.
Your first choice to make will be the fiber that you are going to use. Each fiber has its pluses and minuses, so you may need to experiment in order to find the perfect fiber choice. You will have to consider thread density and the material that you are embroidering, and which type of thread works best in your embroidery machine. Sometimes the less obvious choice of thread will produce the best results, don’t be afraid to try something different.

Rayon thread is the single most popular fiber used for embroidery. Rayon combines a durable high sheen, good usability in virtually every embroidery machine, and low cost. Rayon thread runs so well in so many machines that chances are high that you will love the smooth results that it creates. The most common size of Rayon embroidery thread is 40 weight, although 30 weight is also available. Some lines of rayon embroidery thread have hundreds of colors to choose from, and variegated embroidery thread
On the downside, rayon thread is not normally colorfast, and you should avoid using bleach, even bleach for colors, when washing rayon thread. Rayon also deteriorates over time, so store your thread in a humid area, like a refrigerator, if you live in a dry area.
Popular brands of rayon embroidery thread include Robison Anton, and Sulky.
Polyester Embroidery Thread
Polyester thread is the second most popular type of embroidery thread, and the gap in popularity between the two is small. Polyester embroidery thread is strong, inexpensive, and colorfast. It also stores more easily and last longer than rayon embroidery thread. They have a little less sheen than rayon thread, but more than cotton thread. Polyester thread will stretch when pressure is applied.
Polyester thread is also available in hundreds of solid colors and in variegated as well. 40 weight polyester thread is the most popular size, but 30 and 50 weight can be also be purchased.
Popular brands of polyester embroidery thread include Isacord, Mettler, Robison Anton, and Floriani.
Cotton Embroidery Thread
Most modern cotton threads are created from long staple, mercerized fibers. That means that they start with the long staple thread, which tends to have fewer lumps of lint spun into the thread and it’s also stronger and finer; and then the manufacturer uses the mercerization process to increase the luster and gloss of the cotton thread.
Cotton thread can break when pressure is applied, and it can fade in the sun. All cotton can shrink when washed, so be careful.
Cotton embroidery thread is available in a wide range of sizes, from 8 weight to 100 weight.
Aurifil, YLI and Gutermann are just three of the prominent manufacturers of cotton thread.
Silk Embroidery Thread
Silk embroidery thread is a beautiful, strong, flexible fiber that can be the most beautiful thread available when it is used right. Silk is usually the most expensive thread that you can embroider with, so it may not be right for high density projects.
You need to be careful when washing silk, use a gentle soap and avoid all bleaches.
Manufacturers of silk thread include Tire Thread from Clover, Gutermann, and YLI.
When you have found the right thread you should keep a sample of a successful project stashed in your project drawer, with notes attached, so you can avoid starting all over in your search for the perfect embroidery thread.

Brother SE400 Stitch Patterns
Because this is a combination sewing and embroidery machine, there are loads of stitches to accomplish either type of sewing. There are 67 general utility and sewing stitches such as 10 styles of 1-step buttonholes, Straight, Zigzag, Overcasting, BlindHem, Applique, Stretch, Patchwork, Quilting, Eyelet, Smocking, Decorative, Heirloom stitches and Side Cutter stitches. (Side Cutter stitches cut the fabric off at the seam during sewing similar to what a serger does for seam edges.)
Those stitches can be modified by adjusting the width or height or applying a mirror, twin or multi-directional stitch function.
For embroidery, there are 70 built-in embroidery designs including flowers, roses, baskets of flowers, animals, plants and birds. You choose the pattern and the machine will guide you through step-by-step including thread color selection. The LCD screen shows how much time it will take to complete each step.
Letters and characters used for embroidery and monogramming are excellent additions to today’s sewing machines and the Brother SE400 includes 5 different fonts.
There are 10 styles of frame stitches you can use as a border around your work including a square, circle, and diamond and 12 different stitch styles to use in sewing those frames for a total of 120 frame options.
Brother SE400 Presser Feet
The Brother SE400 comes with 8 snap-on presser feet: Buttonhole, Overcasting, Monogramming, Zipper, Zigzag, Blind Stitch, Button Fitting, and the Embroidery foot.
Most product listings describe the machine as having only 7 presser feet but are not counting the embroidery foot in the equation.
The Zigzag foot has a leveling button to help it maneuver over thick seams or fabric edges (as is often necessary when hemming denim for jeans).
The presser foot height has 3 settings: down, regular up, and extra up for slipping thick fabrics under the presser foot.
Brother SE400 Features
Using some of the best technology for thread delivery and even stitching, the Brother SE 400 also includes automatic features to make machine set up as easy as possible and push button controls that handle things like thread cutting and bobbin winding.
Thread delivery is horizontal, the bobbin is a Quick-Set drop in style casing, and the feed dogs have seven points of contact for optimum fabric control.
There is an automatic needle threader, the ability to drop the feed dogs, and upper thread and bobbin sensors tell you when your thread had broken or is running low.
Push buttons are conveniently located for programming the needle to stop in the up or down position, a Start/Stop button, speed control slider, and a Reverse/Reinforcement stitch button.
All settings take place through the use of the Brother SE400’s touch screen panel and nice sized icons display stitch patterns and directions.
Embroidering with the machine requires that you remove the extension table and slide the included embroidery unit onto the machine. Then place your fabric in the embroidery frame and ensure the right needle, thread, and presser foot are in place.
On the side of the machine is an embroidery card slot so you can purchase sets of embroidery designs to expand your library of artwork.
The Brother SE 400 embroidery sewing machine with USB port and embroidery card reader offers incredible functionality and value.
